Black Sesame – A Raw Material of Natural Quality and Nutritional Richness
The sesame plant comes in several varieties, yielding seeds in various colors, including black, brown, and white. From these seeds, sesame oil of the highest quality is extracted, its properties and purity directly linked to the natural composition of the seeds.
Sesame seeds are rich in biologically valuable nutrients. They contain a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids, primarily omega-6 and omega-9, which help maintain healthy cholesterol levels in the blood. Among the lipids in the seeds, lecithin is also found – a phospholipid essential for the body's nerve tissue and naturally present in both blood and bile.
As a protein-rich raw material, sesame consists of 15 different amino acids, with a particularly high content of methionine. Compared to other oil-bearing seeds, sesame seeds also have significantly higher levels of vitamins B1 and B2.
Sesame is also a source of vitamin E (tocopherol) and other antioxidants. The seeds also contain niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), and pyridoxine (B6), and are an excellent natural source of calcium.
Sesame seeds are particularly rich in antioxidants from the lignan family – including sesamin, sesamolin, sesamolinol, and pinoresinol. These bioactive substances have documented health benefits: they support the immune system, counteract oxidative stress, and help slow down cellular aging processes.
In addition to their high content of insoluble fibers, sesame seeds also contain mucilage, a substance that provides a mild, natural laxative effect while also protecting the intestinal flora.

What is Sesame?
Sesame seeds are small, nutritious seeds from the plant Sesamum indicum L., one of the world's oldest and most prized oil crops. They have been cultivated for thousands of years and are known for their mild, nutty flavor, high oil content, and wide use in both cooking and food production.
Pachamama's sesame seeds come from selected farms in Bolivia and other parts of Latin America — regions with an ideal climate for sesame cultivation. The warm, dry environment yields seeds with stable quality, high purity, and a naturally rich nutritional profile.
The local farming tradition, combined with modern quality control, ensures that our seeds have a purity level of 99.9% and meet the requirements for both industrial and culinary use.
Each batch is handled with care and packed in sustainable packaging options — from 25 lb and 25 kg kraft bags to 1000 kg big bags on pallets, as well as polypropylene and cardboard for various logistical needs.
With an annual production capacity of 400 tons, we ensure stable supply and consistent quality for both small and large customers.
